Disappointing. Beau Jo’s has an appealing exterior and the couple of times we walked past it in the evening appeared bustling. So one day we decided to try it out for lunch. We were shown to our table by a hostess who seemed like she had dozens of better things to do (it was not busy), five minutes later a server appeared to ask us what we wanted to drink. We were in no hurry so though we noted the service we brushed it off. I ordered a cranberry salad and my husband ordered the Beaugetti Pizza (deep dish with spaghetti and meatballs). The dough was cooked separately, pasta loaded in so it really shouldn’t have taken long. Prepwise it didn’t. Our server however left it at the window to take and full a drink order for a table that came after us, then brought them their food. When we finally got our food it was bland, I mean ice berg lettuce hidden under a cap of mixed greens, and undoctored red sauce from a can bland. The only thing either of us could say we enjoyed from the experience was the outer crust of the pizza pie.

An okay pizza. Not particularly worth a wait. Expected more toppings & deeper pie. Still, it was okay, just not special.

Fabulous thick crust. I usually prefer thinner-crusted pizzas, but I can make a delicious exception for Beau Jo’s pepperoni Mountain Pie. This is not just any crust…this is a robust, yeasty, flavorful crust. It is rolled up and twisted at the edges, so once you have nibbled away all the parts of the pizza that have crust and toppings, you are left basically with a luscious bread stick that is crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. You then take this bread stick, drizzle honey over it, and turn it into dessert. (They give you a squirt bottle of honey with your pizza!) Also, the pepperoni is not to be missed, especially when it gets nice and crispy.

Tasty pies with a unique twist.. While the salad bar was just average the Sausage Combo Mountain Pie had fantastic flavor and the twist is that they have cinnamon flavored honey to put on the extra wide leftover fantastic whole wheat crust.

Woof! Why would I ever go back? The Manager was rude the waitress’s didn’t check on our table for over 30 minutes at a time and I feel like a sandwich and appetizer should arrive in under 50 min. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH! Spend it on management that cares about their customers.
