A nice-enough restaurant in a cookie-cutter shopping center. Service was better than average, with prompt, cheerful and accurate service. The ambience was distinctly mid-range: nice dcor, but the table tops could use a good scrubbing. They looked clean, but felt otherwise.Though the wine and beer list is abbreviated, the menu is extensive enough, focussing on traditional Greek dishes adjusted to the MIddle American palate. I tried the falafel, which was nicely done but served with a too-thin tzatziki sauce; the spinach rice with feta, which seemed to have only the ghost of spinach past; and a gyro loukanio — sausage with veggies in a soft pita, servied with a marinara sauce presumably tweaked from Italian to Greek with indiscernible seasonings. I was satisfied with the taste and quality of everything I had — including a companion’s mousaka — but felt that the portions sizes of the available sides were a little on the skimpy side (except the french fries, which didn’t look good to me but were plentiful). Prices were about what you’d expect.THE CURMUDGEONS RATINGS (explained, more or less, on the Curmudgeon-About-Town blog):FOOD: 3 chili peppers (out of 5)SERVICE: 4 chili peppersAMBIENCE: 2 1/2 chili peppersVALUE: 2 1/2 chili peppers
