First, recent, and last visit to Masa on Sunday, December 9.Unfortunately, our experience was not very good.First, our waiter struggled taking orders and bringing the correct items in a timely manner. Not only for our order, but for the entire table. Second, our food was sub-par. I ordered scallops and they were under-cooked. Luckily, I did not get sick from this, but it is disappointing to order something so expensive and for the quality to be terrible. The lack of seasoning on all items was depressing. The amount of vegetables provided was atypical of other experiences at hibachi grills. Third, at the end of our experience, the waiter put our order on the other party’s check and did not notice it until I yelled across the table to not sign their check. No restitution was provided to either party for this egregious error.
Someone was working on the HVAC system last night. During dinner, dust, debris, and cardboard particles rained down on my hair, food, drink and clothing. Disgusting. Only compensation offered was a free dessert after we’d finished the birthday cake. I didn’t finish dinner and ended up getting sick in the middle of the night. Very expensive evening for tainted food.
