Been awhile since I’ve done a review. I must say, this is one of the better pho houses I’ve been to. The service was attentive but not intrusive. We had the spring roll, Vietnamese pork roll, a combination bowl and a bowl of pho with 4 types of meat. The rolls were typical, but the meat in the bowl was grilled perfectly, in the pho, the meat to noodle ratio was perfectly balanced. We will definately return.
Excellent food for the pice!. This Cafe is not an easy place to find, I have lived here over a decade and only discovered it because of the construction on the mall. The atmosphere is extremely outdated, it’s like a blast from the past. Honestly, my first impression brought up concerns of food quality. The waitress was cheerful, friendly, helpful and it certainly wasn’t overflowing its capacity. Which, is a nice change in today’s fast paste world, like I said, blast from the past. Our soup came first, all concerns about food quality dissipated. I only wonder if it’s microwaved because it was scolding… and delicious. The spring rolls wonderful! They come with a house sauce that I imagine is phenomenal for those who appreciate those flavors better than I. The sweet and sour also appears to be in house made and may just be the best I have tasted. The entres also very delicious, the sauces are perfect the only down side is that I believe the meats are not trimmed completely, but it didn’t stop me and that usually would. Fried rice is just how it should be, tender without crunch and it isn’t soggy at all. The egg in the rice actually looks and tastes the way egg is supposed to. I will recommend this place to anyone for a lunch outing, price is right, service is excellent food would be exceptional if the meats were trimmed better and the soups and sauces weren’t scolding. Overal, I will defiantly eat there. Frequently even.
Scary bad food. I read all kinds of awesome reviews so I placed a to go order. Theh told me 10 or 15 minutes but it was closer to 30. I got bome with mh sezchuan (sp?) Beef and gotta say that it did not look very appealing……but looks aren everything right ?….it was the single worst dish I have ever paid for. It was mostly onions and it had almost like a marinara taste to the sauce……or maybe it was out of a bottle…or maybe there was a rookie in the kitchen. …..the BEEF didn’t tastes like any beef I’d ever had…..which kinda freaked me out after I thought about it…..also the rice was bland….so bland. Soup was the only decent part. My Lord……just a mortifying lhnch special. My advice….dont do it. Go to Wendy’s instead.
