Delicious and simple. The sushi menu is not as big as other places, which is a good thing. Instead of slathering the sushi in needless condiments, Nimo’s starts with fresh fish, adds delicious rice, and compliments it with a few other simple ingredients. With a great atmosphere and friendly staff, this place is superb. Highly recommend.
Great service, great quality food. I only wish the portions were a bit larger.
Just try it and you’ll understand!. Despite what Feasting Fort Collins says (whose reviews are marginal at best), Nimo’s is the best sushi you’ll find in northern CO. In my humble opinion dining in any ethnic restaurant should create an experience similar to one you’d find in the country of origin. Sushi in particular (again, just my opinion) is about tradition; I want bite-size pieces that are made with intention, fish that looks, smells and tastes delicious, and lastly I want someone to pour my sake, not drop it off and walk away. You’ll get all of this at Nimo’s.
Food was not bad, but I certainly don’t think you get as much for your money. I’d much prefer Suh Sushi off of Prospect Ave. I was not pleased with the service either. The waitress gave me a hard time about ordering off of the menu while sitting at the Sushi Bar. I would understand if it was busy, but the place was darn near empty. It wasn’t terrible, but I would not go back.
Nimo’s is the best – they have moved to in front of Kohl’s and also are open for lunch.
Absolutely outstanding Sushi. Having eaten Sushi all over the world and many times in Japan, I can state with confidence that Nimo’s serves the best tasting and best quality on the front range. If you don’t care about the taste and freshness – then eat elsewhere, but if you are looking for the best tasting Sushi on the front range eat at Nimo’s. Your mouth and your pallet will smile when you taste it.
Nimo’s is Great Sushi!!!!. Nimo’s is the best sushi in northern Colorado! Nothing else is close. I have eaten sushi all over the world and know something about sushi. It is as good as anywhere. The fish is as fresh as it gets. Sit at the sushi bar when you go and talk to Nimo. He is probably the only Japanese-trained sushi chef in Northern Colorado and is the real deal. He is happy to talk about sushi, or fishing or golf. I eat there once a week or so and it is my favorite restaurant in Fort Collins, so you might see me there.
