Terrible service – indicative of pre-made pizza. We used to like this place. Decent pizza, quite pricey though. Then we had a child who only likes cheese on her pizza. Twice now we have ordered pizza with a request that part be made without any toppings besides chesse – fairly routine we figured and easily done at a place that makes your pizza while you wait. On both occasions, the college kid at the counter told us our request couldn’t be filled (they were quite rude as well and offered no explaination as to why said request was not possible). At close to thirty dollars for a large pizza, this seems ridiculous. The only reason that they couldn’t do it is either because the college staff is lazy, or the pizzas are premade and just warmed up. Either way beware, this place isn’t worth our money or yours!!
Pretty good pizza, service is inconsistent.
Incredible Pizza!. Easily the best pizza in northern colorado. Tastes just like I went to Italy! This pizzeria knows it’s pizza!
As close as it comes without haing it delivered from Italy herself.. Love their pizza! I have spent time in Italy, and I have to say, this is as close as it comes without spending a fortune on a plane ticket! It is virtually identical to the forno al legno pizza so commonly found in Italy. The only beef I have is you can count on delivery taking about an hour, which is alright, just don’t order if you are ravenous! They seemed to go through a ‘hiccup’ a couple years ago, where the service seemed a little mean. I stopped ordering, but developed a mean case of Capriciosa withdrawal, and after about two years of Pulcinella sobriety, broke down and phoned in an order….what a difference a couple of years make. The staff seem friendly again, the drivers really pleasant, the pizza always hot and so thin, yummy and not greasy. Ahhhhh!I feel like I am back in Bellagio, looking out over Lake Cuomo…. La dolce far niente! Thanks, guys!
Amazing Traditional Italian Pizza. I am a first generation American and have vacationed yearly in Europe. This is EXACTLY that type of pizza! Perfectly thin crust and perfectly proportioned amounts of cheese and sauce. Decent prices. Filling but doesn’t leave you ‘heavy’ like chain pizzas do – not greasy or overly cheesy. Nice staff members too.
It used to be much better. When I moved to Ft. Collins 16 years ago from NJ I thought I would never eat decent pizza again. Then I found this place in its original location on College and Horsetooth. It was great. A simple place that made some great pizzeria food. In recent years something has changed a lot though. Im not sure if it is under new ownership ( I noticed the restaurant on Drake is gone) but its not nearly what it used to be. The style of the pizza is east coast but the quality has gone down hill quite a bit. Deliveries are usually cold and I will also agree that the people that work there can be in their own little world. Plus I dont understand what the place is trying to be. All of my great memories of excellent pizzeria experiences from northern NJ took place in little joints that were of no more consequence than a mom n pop operation. The wine bar etc just doesnt fit and if anything makes me feel less like I want to pop in for a slice with my friends on my lunch break. I dunno thats just me. Try Positanos on College and Horsetooth. Its soooooo much better.
Pulcinella. The pizza was pretty good, with alot of unique choices. What impressed me alot was the customer service. Nice people, and when I asked the guy working (his name was Ryan) a question, even though he wasn’t sure of the answer he made sure I got the help I needed. That’s what I think makes a business great. I would definately eat here again.
