That feeling when you ace the final but receive an A- in the class is similar to how I felt at Ramen Master, good but slightly under satisfied. The Miso Ramen and vegetable sushi were great! Not overly salty in the broth and adequately portioned/priced. They can also substitute rice noodles for egg noodles in ramen dishes. However, the Tofu Karaage appetizer came out after our entrees and was pretty bland. Our silverware was dirty and service timeliness was lacking. Our meal for two took over 1.5 hours as we waited for food, drink refills, and a processed check even after the lunch rush. Ramen Master satisfied the craving but left a poor dining experience in the mouth.

Skip it! Go for Pho!. Save your disappointment and hit up Pho Duy! Ramen Master is sodium overload on amateur night at best.It is $8.95 for the large (Sumo) then you add a couple dollars for protein (the nice portion of pulled pork was the only value in my dish), add another dollar or so for some fish cake slices or so… When they bring you the bowl (you order at the counter) head over to the topping bar for some fresh stuff to cut the overly salty taste, oh but wait the inadequate toppings bar is close to empty and there are only a dozen customers or so. Enjoy your unhealthy bowl of salt, chuck your bowl in the bus tubs and leave dreaming of eating something that was actually good. Spare yourself the bummer gyoza too. They are tossed in a flavorless chili oil and just kind of meh. Though they did balance out some of the salt in the ramen broth! :(Maybe it is just me, but I don’t get Ramen Master…
