Great Family setting for a day outdoors. My wife talked me into going down to an orchard today with the pretense that it wasn’t an ordinary apple orchard, they had brisket…So being a sucker for BBQ, I didn’t put up much of a fight. The orchard is pretty well set up and staffed. There was hardly a person there that wasn’t bringing a child along with them, but the outdoors is a great place for them to explore. Being mid-September, they didn’t have an apples to pick from their trees. However, they did have a gigantic pumpkin patch and of course, raspberry and blackberry patches that you could pick your own from. After picking your own, I believe it was around $6 a quart for raspberries and $4 a quart for blackberries. It was a pretty fun time. You can even take a tractor ride (round trip, 5 minutes, haha)We then went into their country store/restaurant area. The restaurant had a pretty good selection of sandwiches and desserts, including 3 different kinds of pies, 8 different kinds of ice cream and I even saw a pumpkin donut I wish I would’ve tried.Regardless, the food tasted great. My brisket sandwich was served on more of a kaiser roll instead of a normal bun, which I really enjoyed because it held up with my hands clamping it and didn’t get soggy.Overall, great atmosphere and great little lunch we had, would definitely recommend.
