Exceptionally Nice Dimner. We were in the Frisco area on vacation for a few days, and walked up and down Main Street deciding where to dine. We chose the Fifth Ave. Grille, and were really happy with our decision. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with a front patio for nice weather, and the main restaurant furnished in a wood theme, with a large bar along one wall. We ate on the patio due to the perfect evening weather. Our server, Rebecca, offered menu suggestions, which we appreciated. The ribeye sandwich was tender and delicious, and came with a choice of potato. The scalloped potatoes were some of the very best I have had outside my Mother’s kitchen. The chicken pot pie is also a winner. It was served in a non-traditional manner, on a plate with the pastry shell resting on top looking a bit like a pancake. It was accompanied by assorted veggies, all served very al dante. Too much so for my preferences, but not raw.The wine list offers many interesting choices. Prices are fair. All in all, this is a very nice dining experience. So much so that we stopped by the next afternoon for their happy hour, when appetizers and small plate items such as premium tacos are offered at discounted prices.Food: A-Atmosphere: AService: AMenu Sophistication: A-Value: B+
5th Ave Grille was not accommodating in the slightest. My friend and I are both vegan. We simply asked for a side of steamed vegetables (on the menu) and they said they could not do that. They weren’t apologetic about. That’s why I’m writing this review.
Good aptnosphere, food was mediocre, prices were a little high.
So good, i went twice. So good i went twice… in one night. we thought we were too full for dessert… but had to come back twenty minutes later for their cobbler and mousse! i had great pork tacos and an amazing chicken curry soup… i am dreaming of that soup as i type. charming outdoor seating as well as a cozy, chic indoor seating too! try it!
