There isn't anything I wouldn't do for my children when it comes to their health and well-being. In 2008, my son was one year old and had an extreme case of eczema. He was miserable, scratching the "itchies" day and night. We tried every topical remedy we learned about, but nothing worked. Finally, we decided to change his diet. We removed gluten from his food sources. It was neither easy nor tasty. I sampled many flour mixes so that we could create dishes, breads, and treats for our entire family. A majority of these products received two thumbs down. Therein began the mission to create a flour mixture that was both easy to use and yummy to eat. So, we played and tested and came up with a flour blend that we thought was exceptional enough to share with others. Since 2008, our family-owned business Windy Saddle Cafe has been offering a range of gluten free baked goods, from fresh baked pastries to the best gluten free sandwich breads and granola in the west. These products were instantly successful and to meet the growing demand for them, we decided in 2012 to open a 100% gluten free bake shop: 5 Star Gluten Free Each day, it is a great joy to provide great tasting alternatives to wheat to those whom have digestive difficulties with gluten. So many of our customers have expressed how appreciative they are that we offer gluten free foods that "taste so good". 5 Star Gluten Free is dedicated to creating the best gluten free products on the market. Tasty gluten free pastries are hard to find, but not here at the 5 Star. Wide assortment of treats, meal choices, products and teas. We even bought extras to take with us as we traveled on our way. What a happy find this one is.
Gluten-free does not have to be tasteless! This new business has bread, rolls and goodies – all gluten free – but they taste great. They also do special orders. Stop by and enjoy – you will be glad you did.
