Pleased out of towner. Came in on business….usually go the safe route when it comes to food; chains/franchises. Nothing worse than bad food on the road.However, the Courtyard recommended Bonos and I gave it a try. It’s a hole in the wall. I’ll grant you that it’s not aesthetically pleasing when you walk in. Fantastic food! Superb service! Real Italian food with a little Sinatra in the back ground. Wish I would have eaten here all three nights I was here.
Fantastic Food, Fantastic Family!. I’ve been eating at this restaurant for nearly 5 years. The sandwiches, pizza, and dinner are all fantastic. The people who work there are unique and super friendly. I recommend this place constantly to friends and family. Both the owners are wonderful people and have really made me feel at home every time I visit.
Great Pizza!. I heard great things about the pizza and had to try this place. I’m a FUSSY east coast transplant to Denver and couldn’t believe how good the pizza was. Perfect crust. The sauce was fresh and the toppings were very flavorful. Bono’s nailed the pizza and I’ve been a steady customer since 2010. Not just a pizza place, but the home style food is a convenient and as good as it gets.
Don’t recommend this place even if your starving. A can of tomato paste and water would have been better than their marinara sauce (no flavor). This place would make any true Italian run screaming! So disappointed, expected better in a ma & pa place. And the price was outrageous over $8.00 for bowl of spaghetti with something they call sauce. Call in Chefboyardee! And the service was lazy and impersonal. All around great disappointment.
Could be so good….. I had high hopes for Bono’s but alas, no deal. The service was almost non-existent. Took forever for her to bring me my wine, and then FORGET ever getting a second glass. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan. It was SOGGY as all get out, and served over cold stiff old spaghetti noodles. My friend ordered the Fettuccine with clam sauce. The clams were from a bottle or frozen, very rubbery with almost no taste. I will say this, the bread is to die for. Very crispy on the outside and pillow soft inside… Would not go back. I wish people who owned restaurants would actually TASTE the food, and use fresh ingredients…and for god sakes…Pay attention to your customers…
