I went late around 8:30pm… They close at 9. The service was good, but the food wasn’t the quality I was expecting from the other reviews. The sushi rice was old? – didn’t stick properly… It was like when you put sushi rice in the fridge and then take it out. The sashimi was ok, but a couple of pieces had a bit of fishiness to them.
Uokura Is Great!!!!. I travel quite a bit for my job and usually try to find a good sushi place wherever I may be. (None in North Dakota…………..yet). Every time I come to Denver/Golden I go to Uokura at least ONCE. Food is always good, service not an issue since I sit at the bar area where the food is prepared. Enjoy watching the chef do his thing with the sashimi, sushi, and knife work with same. Never have I been disappointed with food quality or price vs quantity.
Excellent Sushi, Service. I’ve been going here for about a year now, and I take out fairly regularly. Everything I’ve had to date has been delicious, fresh, and portions are generous. Service has been great each and every time but I have only carried out since dining in around lunch time when I usually order is not feasible for me. So far, all the servers and cooks I’ve encountered have been wonderful.Very pleased indeed.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant since it opened!!! The owner used to be at Kobe An. He has made continuous improvements & takes pride in his work. My favorite roll is the spicy California roll & he started offering all-you-can-eat lunches during the week & I’ve been taking all my girlfriends every chance I get. Great place, great food, great people. My favorite sushi place in Denver!!

Best Japanese in Denver. I think this is the best Japanese sushi and otherwise in Denver… Better than the Den better than Domo. Outstanding.
