Better Bar Food!. This is a lovely lunch spot, even better if the weather is agreeable and you’re able to eat in their outdoor area. My favorite item is the Colorado Lamb Burger….scrumptious. Served with feta cheese and cooked just the way you order (medium for me!) on a toasted ciabatta roll. I also very much enjoy the Monte Cristo sandwich. Be warned, it is RICH! Sweet & deep-fried served with honey on the side for dipping, delicious! The owner’s wife is Greek so there are occasionally specials (check the board when you first walk in) that won’t be on the menu but are totally worth a try. I have had the Pastitsio and Spanakopita, both were terrific.The service is good even during a full lunch rush. Food comes out quick, the bathrooms are clean, and I have never been disappointed with the food.
…But I like Kannah Creek Better. I can’t say I didn’t like this place — had a very tasty lamb burger (CO lamb, a special of the day). We also tried a sausage platter app which was a bit odd…but good. Guess the vibe just didn’t hit me. The room is quite dark, and rather neon-y…I found it a little disorienting. This place is closer to downtown than Kannah Creek, and if I wasn’t able to get to KC, I’d go here…
