Big City Dining in Grand JunctionWhat? We hadnt been to Grand Junction in a very long time. Years ago all you could find for dining was a steak house, some diners and some fast food places. Now Grand Junction has restaurants that make it feel all grown up!Il Bistro Italiano has delicious food, super servers and a nice setting. From cocktails to dessert everything was great. I would very happily go to Il Bistro Italiano on another visit to Grand Junction. I just hope that it wont be so many years until then.

You can tell the food is good quality ingredients, but we didn’t find the flavor any better than other local Italian restaurants. Also, feel like for a somewhat upscale restaurant, they’d have nicer menus and table settings. (The menus were just pieces of plain printer paper and my husband’s dish was served in a PLASTIC bowl!) We’ve heard nothing but good things about this Italian restaurant downtown so we gave it a try for our anniversary dinner. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, and the lemon-y sauce served with it was great. For an entree, I had the Saltimbocco (veal and prosciutto dish) which was (as the name interestingly suggests) overly salty because of the sauce, but the garlic mashed potatoes were perfect. My husband ordered the Pollo Al Pesto (chicken pasta dish), and it was too rich for me, but most Italian pasta dishes are for my palate. For dessert we had the Cherry Almond Chocolate Tarte. There’s not much chocolate in it, and it was good, but not great, which is surprising since it was their specialty dessert. Overall… I’d definitely try it again, but would probably spend less for a lunch and wouldn’t spend the price for their dinners.

My very favorite restaurant, I always bring guests here, and no one has ever been disappointed. I eat here for lunch and dinner. Everything is homemade and you can even buy some of their homemade pastas and desserts to take home! everytime we eat here, it feels special. It is what I would consider a higher-end restaurant, but mostly because of the quality–the prices are reasonable and you really don’t have to spend a lot for a great meal. Everything I’ve had here has been amazing! Eating here always feels special!

Gem of a Restaurant in Downtown Grand Junction, CO. This is one of our very favorite new restaurants after moving to Grand Junction, CO. They have a superb menu that also changes periodically and depending on the season. Every Dish we have tried has been Delicious, and the Servers have always been excellent and giving service beyond the expected. Would Highly Recommend this Italian Restaurant.

Our Favorite Restaurant. My wife and I love Il Bistro, it’s our favorite restaurant in the Grand Valley. Service is always outstanding, the menu has consistency to it but at the same time, has seasonal changes.

Locally owned, globally known.. This little valley is home to several locally owned eateries and this one is in the top three.Never a problem meal and a menu that changes with the season with wine to match. The Tapas nights are fun and convivial. Don’t miss this gem on Main Street–a gem itself!
