Excellent homemade Japanese food. The ramen and omusubi are especially good.A great choice for any fan of authentic Japanese food, it’s all prepared by the Japanese family who own the place. This can lead to slow food prep times, but the food and atmosphere are great.
This is a nice little home style Japanese restaurant. With traditional noodle meals and sushi. Alcohol and sake are also served. The service was a little slow due to staffing. But very very friendly people. The restaurant peers to need a bit more tidying up. Russell is the active takeout menu. It’s a good value for a traditionally home cooked Japanese meal.
I realize now I’ve never been to a Japanese restaurant before. I was expecting the overly salty food like I normally find at Chinese restaurants. My food had a nice warm flavor (not hot and spicy, just warm – not sure how else to describe it). Server was super kind and great to make recommendations. Not many people seated for dinner but a ton came in for their take out.
Ramen in GJ!!. Just came here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised to find some cheap great japanese food in the Junc. Will be back for sure. Also they sell their amazing sriracha for $3!
Love this place!. The owners are from Japan, I am glad that they decided to share some of their culture with us! Extremely authentic Japanese food. Very wonderful family. Small, simple restaurant.There are some Japanese magazines you can browse through while waiting for your food. Warning: Once you try their teriyaki, you’ll never find anything better or even comparable. Everything is priced really well, it is a complete bargain. The only downside is, that they are closed for certain hours during the day, so it may be best to call ahead to make sure they will be open when you arrive. If you are just in town for a visit, don’t miss out on visiting this place!
