I love this place! Perfect for a light meal and drinks with friends. Food is always fresh and tasty, the drinks have local flair. The tequila and mescal selection can’t be beat.

We went to this place several years ago when it was called La Bamba and the food was only mediocre. We tried MX Tapas last night and ordered the sampler platter of tapas, along with two other tapas choices. Our favorites were the Proscuitto and the Lime Shrimp. We were pleasantly surprised how good these shareable finger foods were! Only downside of the experience was the overpriced peach margarita- it was decent but very small drink for $12!

Best Restaurant!. I went in here on my birthday and was treated like a queen!! The waiter we had was absolutely fantastic, and the owners are always so friendly. My family and I have been going here since it was La Bambas ans we will continue to dine here. Great service, awesome food, and the pineapple margarita is delicious! The atmosphere also has a warm, cozy feeling.

Cool new place downtown!. I was a fan of the old place back in 07′ when it first open so I was hopeful for when the owners announced a reboot of their restaurant. They changed everything inside and out and the food was amazing! We got in about last Friday (14 of Feb.) and though it was pretty busy the service was friendly and we only had to wait for about 20 min to try out the new tapas. Can’t wait to go back when they have their new bread come in from a local bakery this weekend!

Great Tapas, Great Atmosphere. The reboot for La Bamba becoming MX has been near flawless. Opening was a bit hectic but that was expected with so many people inside. The wait was definitely not 40 mins and I am going to guess the fellow below was one of the drunker customers that kept poking fun at the waitress across our table. Anyway, the tapas were great and the drinks were as good as ever. We went back 5 days later and the wait was reduced to the standard 10 to 15 minutes with the fresh chips and salsa to keep our tummies from rolling lol. Overall a great start for the new place!

Service was slow, like 45 minutes slow, but at least we had drinks. They brought us the wrong ones…twice, but they were good. They stopped bringing us chips after the second basket approximately 40 minutes before our food showed up. Our tapas, if you can even call cold pieces of French bread with a couple slices of tomato and spinach with a undercooked shrimp on top tapas, all came out on the wrong plates. We then left with a $150 bill, no one feeling at all full, and a bad taste in our mouths – literally and figuratively. Don’t waste your time or money.
