Our family’s favorite place!. Family favorites are Wasabi Nut Crunch, Surf and Turf, Caterpillar roll. They have the best dynamite shrimp in the world, and you can’t miss the fried oysters as your appetizer.
I thought good sushi wasn’t found in GJ. I thought I’d try this place as a last shot. I came on a Wednesday night so I had no problem getting seated and fed quickly. Server Kellie was a delight and was great to make recommendations. I had the avocado boats, Poison Ivy roll, and chai Creme brle. I couldn’t be happier with my choices. Each were creative and well made. Typical sushi prices but this meal was worth the money be far. Definitely coming here again!!19 Mar, 2015Chai Creme Brle. Oh yum! Great spiced flavor to the Carmelized sugar top!19 Mar, 2015Avocado Boats -Appetizer. OMG! The sauce is like a yummy syrup that compliments the avocado. Excellent!!
Will not return. I gave this place a shot because I had a gift card and wanted to try something new. The sushi is decent, but not nearly as good as I expected from the price and the egg roll appetizer was bland and disappointing. Waitress was notably absent and my water sat empty for the majority of the meal. When the sushi came, we were forced to play dirty-dish-Tetris with the empty appetizer plates as no one came by to clear them. We opted to sit at the sushi bar as it is usually a fun experience, however the sushi chef felt it appropriate to make snide interjections into the conversation I was having with the person next to me. By the time the check came I couldn’t have been more ready to leave. I’ve never spent that much money at a place that made me feel so simultaneously ignored and disrespected. If you have the choice eat anywhere else. Or go hungry. I would.
