Chinook Tavern. We have only made one visit back in September but would not mind going back. We were seated almost immediately even though it was rather crowded (went on a Friday), I supposed we just got lucky and had perfect timing. For appitizers we got the Baked Escargot and Chinook Classic Baked Wild Mushroom Strudel, both were really good; even my kids ate it. For my meal I had the Wild Mushroom Ravioli which was really good! I don’t remember what the rest of my family got but each liked their meal very much. The service was a little slow but as how busy it was that probably should have been expected. The owner/manager also came by our table to see that everything was good. To each his own on how their experience was, we got lucky with our visit. Not saying if we go back we will have the same thing happen but I will say that I do want to go back. It is on the pricey side but the food was excellent.

Terrible isn’t even close. Im very perplexed by the ratings of this place considering my experience this evening. If you are looking for an honest review this is it. We arrived with the hostesses greeting us but neither the hostess or waitress asked if this was our first time or if there was a special occasion. The waitress serving us this evening was Catherine. She promptly took and prepared our drink orders. However, we waited 20 minutes for her to take our appetizer and entre order. The house salad costing $8.00 each for two people were nothing spectacular which validated the price. Our salads were brought to the table before our appetizer which wasnt enthusing. I ordered the New York steak. When I requested a steak knife to eat a 12oz steak, Catherine indicated its European style and couldnt accommodate me except with the standard butter knife already at the table. My wife ordered the pan seared chicken which she felt was o.k. My steak was requested medium well and also was o.k. My daughter ordered one of the pizzas and could only eat one slice due to how unpleasant it tasted. Catherine could only apologize about the pizza when she delivered the check. Never once did a manager come by to ask how the meal was for us. Chillis did this 3 times while I was eating lunch earlier today. The appetizer we finished and the associated plates stayed with us at the table throughout the entire meal. We had finished the entre for 20 minutes while we waited for the plates to be removed. Then we were boldly asked by Catherine if we would like dessert. After declining dessert we received and paid for the $128 dollar bill and as we left out the front door the elderly hostess only stared at the front of her computer screen never once looking up to say, thank you for coming or have a good evening. Its my conclusion the good reviews posted on this restaurant are not only false but scandalous. I wasted 3 hours of my life which I will not get back. Save yourself some time and spend a few more dollars and go to Del Friscos or Shanahans where they value and respect their customers. You could also go to Village Tavern in Broomfield, Colorado for half the price and receive exponential quality per dollar compared with the dollar spent at this place.

First visit, and we will be back. We both had the Jaeger Schnitzel. It was delicious, as were the sides. The dessert tray also looked good, but by that time I was full. Nice wine list and beautiful decor.

Good food, impersonal, slw service. We loved Chinook in Cherry Creek and looked forward to the new location. We’ve eaten at the new location four times and the experience has been the same. Food is excellent, especially the classic wiener schnitzel. Unfortunately, the service is sub par. Waitstaff is poorly trained, slow and seem disinterested. If you plan to dine, make sure you ave plenty of time and patience. Food is worth the wait.

Yummy!. The quinoa was delicious! Chinook Tavern was inviting and fun.

Bland, dull, uninspired. I dined at Chinook last night with my wife. The food was boring, nearly tasteless. The mushroom sauce tasted as though it came straight from a can. Flavors were lifeless and completely uninspired.
