Good food, very nice flavors, and good service. Seems to be authentic Mexican style food. Environment is nice in a cute old building. Too bad we are only passing through. I would like to eat here again.

Upon entering the first thing I noticed was it was hot. Like many restaurants in the mountains there was no air conditioning so I literally sweated through the meal and not from the spiciness of the food. We were seated by the window which offered a nice view of the bustling main drag. The carpet near our table smelled of wet feet or mold and could definitely used replaced. Chips, salsa and some strange coleslaw/pico mix (see pictures). The salsa was very good and was surprisingly spicy which I liked. I’d say between medium and hot. The slaw stuff I didn’t touch, but my wife did and said pass. The chips were a little tough but had a nice corn flavor. Service for the whole meal was prompt and prices were decent if not cheap for a resort town. Only had sodas so can’t comment on the booze. I’d go back if in town. It was a very large menu so lots more stuff to try. The following was what I tried:Roasted split jalapeo: yummy, spicyCarne Asada: so/so, steak a little too thick, overcooked and needed lots more seasoning, full green onions a great touch. Flour tortillas: yuck, could taste preservatives, store boughtChili relleno: great, good crispy texture, cheese good, spicy, small pepper though. Cheese enchiladas: great, onions inside a little raw still. Picadillo enchiladas: ok, beef was once again tough and hard to chew. Not very seasoned again. Beans: great, nice texture and deep flavor. Rice: great, excellent flavor with small tomato chunks, slightly dry. Salsa: great, nice tomato and onion chunks in a thin pure, garlic and cilantro notes enjoyed. Weird pico/slaw stuff: pass, would have enjoyed a normal pico de gallo. Overall all my group enjoyed their meals.

Ok. Big menu. Not the best Mexican I’ve had. I wish this didn’t make new write a long review when I don’t have a lot to say. I really just wanted to rate it.

This was amazing!!! As a Texan we love our fajitas and this were on point! I’m so thankful we stopped – great food and awesome pico de gallo! We will be back the next time through.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in colorado! I love the food, it’s fast and delicious with most items homemade. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the servers are always sweet and knowledgable. The prices are good especially for lunch and I frequent them often. One of the best restaurants in Idaho Springs.
