An oil and gas meal. First time there. Had a small filet, which I requested to be rare with a charred crust – assuming a flash high heat grill. What I received was a perfectly rare filet but the crust was finished with a butane torch. The steak tasted like it had a petroleum coat. I can’t imagine a chef who would serve such uneatable food. Of note, when I complained, the meal was comped. The view – I 70, really, the best in Denver? My last time there!
Horrible quality food, poor management, nice servers but slow and not well trained. If you like barely warm, questionable quality and bland food, then this is the place. Personally, I will never send anyone to this place. Extremely disappointing and no one cares. If you must check out the view, have a drink and eat somewhere else, your body will appreciate it.
Terrible food, worse serviceWent for Easter – after waiting over 50 min for our food, the steak, which was ordered medium rare, came our basically raw while the fish was over cooked and somewhat burnt
No to the sea bass with Meyer Lemon. I had dinner at the Chart House in Genesee on Thursday and was very disappointed with the sea bass dish. It was overcooked, dry and had no flavor. I had just bragged to our guest about their great seafood, so I was embarrassed to say anything to the waiter. I don’t mind paying for good food but this dish was not worth $34.95. Naturally I was very upset because I had looked forward to an excellent meal. Guen Larson12 Apr, 2014No to the sea bass with Meyer Lemon. Went here with friends during 5280 week. Food was good. Wonderful ambiance. Would like to go back to try other menu items. Key Lime Pie was the best part.
Chart House Denver is Gross. Took wife there for romantic evening. First salad bar was no better than the ones they used to have at Wendy’s (beets, chopped eggs, dull !!!. They ran out of Caeser salad and were too lazy to make more. Bread was old and crumby. Don’t order the ahi Tuna. It was poor quality and skimpy quality for the price $36.99. Place is beautiful on the outside with hill top setting and outdoor gas fire, but inside it is retro 1982 , (depressing!) needs a huge facelift. Avoid it like the bubonic plague. Cant even understand how they stay open.
Horrible. The food was horrible. To think that we spent almost $75 dollars a head for food that was microrwaved. Yes they microwave almost everything. I was watching them cook. The plastic even melted on the food. Don’t ever eat here if you don’t want carcinogens melted on the food. Absolutely disgusting. I will never go back. I suggest you don’t try it out either.
