Let me just start out saying I’m from Oklahoma so I know good bbq. This place knocks it out of the park. I got the rooster booster which was pulled chicken, lettuce, tomato, and your choice of fried onion or fried pickles. I chose the fried pickles due to the owners suggestion and it was one of the best bbq sandwiches I’ve ever had. The brisket is so thinly sliced it resembles pastrami. It truly melts in your mouth. Don’t miss out on the Mac n cheese or the waffle fries. Each fry was as crispy as the next. Bad ass patio, cool employees, and great beer. I would recommend driving from Denver to check this place out. Totally worth it.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, a bit pricey…. Their sandwiches are huge. The meat plates aren’t as large. My only gripe is their prices. Plan on spending a few more dollars than what you normally would for bbq. Beer prices also expensive. Give a locals discount (10%), as I would certainly come back often!
Interesting BBQ options. These guys try pretty hard and the food is generally good. We’ve been there a few times (it’s good enough to justify repeat business) but a few things to note:I think it’s a little pricey. I know this is kind of Evergreen, but I’m not used to paying so much for BBQ served in a paper bowl. Nothing wrong with that, but I think there’s a bit of a price disconnect. I’m a thin guy and not a big eater but the portion sizes leave me wanting. Especially for the price, load up the bowls, boys!! All that said these guys draw a crowd. They moved here from the Midwest and have a very friendly vibe. The place is often a bit crowded so be prepared to wait if you’re going on a weekend evening. There aren’t many BBQ options in JeffCo that we’ve found, so we’ll keep coming back. I just wish they’d serve more for the price you pay.
Best chicken sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Smoky, juicy pieces topped with your choice of sauce and fried pickles or onions. I had the pickles, which were amazing in their own right – crispy, tart and a bit spicy. The table right next to Bear Creek can’t be beat.
Great BBQ, Super rad owners and employees!!!! Sweet little spot on the river with foosball and cold beer..I’m sold 😉
Interesting Concept. I will start off by saying the food is good! I did not like that the food is ordered at the counter and even if dinning in it comes in a to-go box.The food is tasty! I would like to see ribs on the menu!
