First time is the last time. We recently moved to the neighborhood and were looking for mexican food on a Sunday night. We thought we would order carry out since we returned from a long day in the outdoors and were not quite presentable for a sit down meal. We ordered by phone and picked up on the way home. Our order was ready when we arrived. Our total was presented. The person handling our transaction made a very loud flippant remark directly to us about not leaving a tip. It’s carry out. Tips are for service. Taking our money, making change and handing us food is not service. That is a transaction. We are good tippers when we sit down but we don’t tip at the Taco Bell drive through either! The embarrassment of the one person’s behavior put a damper on our meal. The food became cold within the 5 minutes it took to get home, the beans were grey and the meat was greasy. We will not be back. Too bad, we were hoping to be regulars here:(
Tafolino’s Definitely going downhill!!. I have been eating at Tafolino’s for over 10 years. The last 3-4 visits have been extremely disappointing, but none so bad as Friday evening. The service was terrible (non-existent), and the food was as bad as I’ve ever had there. The waiter never brought us water, never checked to see how our food tasted, didn’t bring us our check (we finally had to go to the register and pay), and never brought a glass for my beer, in spite of asking him twice. Then to top it all off, they wouldn’t honor their own 1/2 off entre coupon. I will NEVER go back to Tafolino’s again! Oh, by the way, for a Friday night, they were empty! Should tell you something about their recent ways.

Vist of August 3rd, 2014. I have been eating at Tafolino’s ever since they began way back when. Food has always been tops. But ate there recently and it was disgusting. Never again. Don’t know what has changed but the food is awful. What was supposed to be steak looked like square cubes of cat food. Chili was not the same and big slabs of uncooked onion – YUK – I won’t go back for another episode. My friend had a different order and it was a total mess also. I think the original cooks/owner whatever has left the bldg.
We had a groupon and tried this place out. The place was crowded for 5pm dinner (good sign for the food) but we were seated right away. The food was amazing. The chips and green salsa were made in house and yummy. I love the bacon wrapped jalapeo. My only complaint is for them to serve more salsa with the chips.
Never Again. I have been to this location over the years and the food and service were always very good. However, in the last six months I have been to this location twice, both times the food was terrible and the service even worse. Both times food was served luke warm and the green chili had no flavor. Not sure what has happened, but this is definitely not worth another visit.
This is a great find. Lots of food for cheap and it is really good.
