Bad service and mediocre food. We live in Evergreen and found our visit to the wood cellar to be awful. The food was mediocre, the servers rude and atmosphere snobby. Go to Cactus Jacks for a better burger.
Ignore the bad reviews!. This place is great! The explanation for the bad reviews is people with a grudge. I have been at the Wood Cellar a hundred times and have never had a bad experience. The service, food, clientele, live music, and atmosphere are always great! I meet new people almost every time I go. You will find all kinds of people and good vibe. Food ranges from burgers to good salads to ahi and salmon. They have good sushi two nights a week.Good live music on weekends and never a cover charge!Give this place a try and see for yourself!I guarantee you will enjoy it.Gary

Not so great. We went to eat on Thurs ~1330. At the time, there was only one other table with two gentlemen there. While we were eating, only one other couple came in. Service was very slow and we had to beg for refills on regular beverages. She’d refill one person’s and leave when the other 5 of us still needing refills. Food took a long time, though burgers and fish & chips were both good. We will not go back unless we hear service has dramatically improved.
Sexual comments and bad service. I have frequented this bar recently, purely based on convenience relative to where I live, this will never happen again. I was there the other night and not only we’re rude and innappropriate comments made to me and my guest by the staff which is highly inappropriate, but the service was also horrible. We originally sat outside and were forced to come in anytime we needed to order something as the server never bothered to ask us while they walked by. Then, as it got chilly we moved in to the bar and yet again, not one single server would even approach us so we had to go to the bar to order food and get water. We then sat for 36 minutes (no lie, I timed it) after we were finished with our food and water with no refills, no plates taken away and no offer for the check. This is the worst service I have ever received in Evergreen and I highly recommend never going here-I will certainly never go back. It was an embarrassment to my guest staying with me. There are plenty of other options in our small town 🙂
Will not go back. We had a really mixed experience last night (our second visit, and 1st was similar). The waitress on our 2nd visit was mostly cheerful, amiable, competent and the other service people (bringing drinks and food) was good and timely also, but we had a lot of problems with the food-not good, also pretty pricey for what we got. The pulled pork sandwich meat tasted like it was right out of the can; the cole slaw had no taste at all and portion size was miniscule; with the southwestern chicken sandwich, the only edible thing was the chicken breast itself; the ciabatta bread was spread with something rancid (butter, marg or oil)-I could not eat it. Another guest had some real problems with the grilled tuna-first undercooked, then way overcooked. Everyone agreed that the cole slaw was boring/inedible. We did complain about the pork, because we feel it is important to give feedback and they offered some chips instead, which was really not an acceptable offer, but then we asked for a comp beer instead and they did provide that, so we give them kudos for that. A plus was that I wanted to order the 3 taco dinner but the waitress said it was basically the worst thing on the menu-I appreciated her telling me this. We will not go again and will caution others likewise.
