My family loves this restaurant. When we need a Thai fix, this is where we run to. Great quality and fair prices. We’ve driven 10 miles in a blizzard to eat here!
We were going to do some shopping in the Lafayette area so decided to get lunch while out and about. We looked at Yelp to see what restaurants were in the area and decided to try Panang Thai. We LOVE thai food and usually make a weekly drive to Ft. Collins for Drunken Noodles at Cafe De Bangkok so thought check Panang Thai out. The restaurant is welcoming and we were greeted and seated quickly and within a minute our they had already brought our Thai Iced Teas. They had a nice list of specials on the board and a menu with many delicious sounding options to choose from. A lot of things sounded good!We ordered vegetable dumplings to start with – we were pleased to see that they offered them as we can’t get vegetable dumplings in our town – all are meat based. The dumplings were served with a dipping sauce and were delicious. For our entree, we decided to go with our old standby and order Drunken Noodles with tofu for us and Pad Thai with tofu for our son. I ordered mine at a 5 spice level and hubby got his at a 4 spice level. We were very pleased that our orders actually had some heat to them – a lot of places say something is hot when it really isn’t to our tastes. They even included some extra chili sauce on our plate in case we wanted to add more heat! We all enjoyed our entrees. To our surprise, they brought us complimentary dessert of rice/taro pudding which we enjoyed. We met the owner and had a nice chat with him before leaving – he was genuinely friendly and we could tell that he loves running the restaurant and meeting new people. We will definitely stop back for a meal when we’re out that way. We just wish we lived closer!! If you haven’t tried this place and you’re out that way, give it a try – we think you’ll be pleased!
Awesome food, friendly service. Good quality. The best I’m the area by far.
New manager Jason is fantastic! The wanton soup was the best I have ever dad. Everything was NYC quality. Will be back again and again, unless we get it delivered. A must visit!
Good value for lunch and good service. Particularly liked Thai wonton soup.
