My picture of the carnita Benny looks SO good I was pumped when they put that plate down on my table. I took my first bite and was in shock how flavorless it was. So I drenched it in a bunch of hot sauce and it was just alright . Disregarding my flavorless breakfast this place is a cool spot to go to. Nice patio, great coffee, and tea . I’ll be back to try a different menu item because people seem to rave about this place .
Breakfast all day? Don’t mind if we do! Tons of breakfast options all day, and cool combo’s, like the Lox Bennies & Crab Bennies. They’re happy to substitute items to make the dishes more friendly for those who are gluten, dairy, and soy-free. It’s hit or miss as far as how quickly you’ll be in and out, and pretty unpredictable whether it will take 10 mins or 45 mins to get food… But when you get it, it’s always delicious and prepared the way you asked (if anything was substituted). I love how their food is never over-cooked and always really fresh. Just make sure you set aside time to drop in. denverspeax.com
My husband and I ate lunch at The French Press for our anniversary. The menu is amazing, and we ordered two dishes so we could share since neither of us could decide on just one thing. We ordered crab cake bennies and the lil Frankie, and I haven’t had such good food in a long time. I give our experience a 10, and have decided that the French Press is my favorite restaurant in the metro area.
Great food, new location, very disorganized. The food at the french press is superb. Unfortunately, the design of the new location is poorly done. If you like to wait California style standing up for a long long time, get ready. There is still not enough seating. not sure we will be back.
Best Brunch of the Trip. Stopped here after reading the reviews on our way to explore Denver and it was the perfect start to a wonderful day. They’re special was a medium Nutty Pumpkin for the price of a small; so two of those, an All American and the gigantic Breakfast Burrito (which I opted not to add any meat to) kept us full and happy for the rest of the days adventures. The place is charming and would be a regular haunt of ours, if we weren’t just visiting. Definitely worth trying out!07 Oct, 2014All American and Veggie Breakfast Burrito. Portions were generous and absolutely delicious!
I am so disappointed!!!. The first time I went to The French Press with a friend, we had the Crepes and they were incredibly delicious! I started bragging about it to my friends and brought some in today. First of all, they didn’t have any crepes! How do you not have enough crepes for the weekend? So, I decided to try something else. It took about 30 minutes for our food to come out and then it was cold! There were scrambled eggs and bacon that came with my french toast. The bacon was badly burnt and I don’t know what they put on my plate to be eggs, but I have never seen eggs like that. They were a weird color and didn’t taste like eggs. I can’t decide if I want to risk going back again, but if I do, I will definitely call ahead to make sure they have the crepes!
I love this place.Owners are great at both places.Hi Christan Bobbie and Cico.!!love the appeal.!!
