The reviews that mention small place, tight tables and noise are accurate…but have those reviewers ever been to an authentic Italian restaurant in Chicago, NY, Boston, St. Louis, or any other destination known for its authentic Italian cuisine? That’s the way the best spots are. I had the sausage & peppers as my meal, and my wife had Aglio e Olio, both were quite good. My son’s meatball sandwich looked amazing, but he didn’t share. Staff was very nice, and they comp’ed our garlic knots when they learned it was our first time in. We’ll be back.

Not so good. This place gets great reviews but my experience was not very good. My wife and I went Wed. night. A very small place and extremely noisy. It is nearly impossible to carry on a conversation. The tables beside us were litterally 6 inches on both sides of us. It took an extreme amount of time for us to get our salads and another extreme amount of time to get our main dishes. We finally got our salads. My Italian dressing tasted like something you would get out of a bottle. Nothing special. After about 1 hour I asked our waitress to check on our food because we had to leave. The food finally came out and I got a half order of spaghetti when I had ordered a full order. My wife got a half order of lasagna. She liked hers. My spaghetti was just mediocre. Since we had to leave the waitress brought my other half order of spaghetti out in a to-go container. At this point I really didn’t care. After being stuck in this place for an hour and fifteen minutes we just wanted to leave. The noise, the bad service, the mediocre food was enough for both of us. Two iced teas, two salads, 1/2 order of lasagna and one order of spaghetti was $40.00!!!!.

Gluten Free Italian cookies. AMAZING14 Dec, 2014As a personal friend of the owners who work there I must give them modiste appreciation. I have gone there now ten fifteen times and they have not ones messed up. They are more crowded around 5:00-8:00 like many other restaurants. You have to understand that they have only been open now for about 8 months. It is a rather small restaurant but the food makes it worth going to. The best time to go to Cranelli’s is from 11:00 to 1:30. And if you can, get as many garlic nots as possible ( they are AMAZING!).

Not great service for lunch. She brought the wron sandwich and said she’d fix it but never brought the right sandwich…pretty frustrating! Meatball sandwich was tasty and filling! Garlic knots are a MUST!

Great people, lousy food. Was really excited to find a new Italian place to try. The atmosphere, wait staff, and owners were very welcoming. We started with the garlic knots and chianti – both were excellent and at a good price. For dinner, I ordered marinara with meatballs and my husband ordered a calzone. The marinara sauce was watery and very bland, the meatballs were okay. My husband’s calzone was cold and undercooked – looking at the thing was enough to make me lose my appetite. He’s not one to send food back, but when the waitress brought the bill he let her know. The owner came over and apologized and made sure to remove the charge. We really appreciated the service but sadly even with a fully cooked calzone the food doesn’t warrant a return trip.

Lacinda, the owner is amazing! Live music in a very small restaurant was WAY too loud. Tables and bar setting pack patrons in like sardines. Literally had asses and belt buckles in my face all night long. Wait service(female) was horrid. Garlic knots were good. Marinara sauce was outstanding. Overpriced for the hospitality/food/atmosphere.

Wife and I went there. Trying something new. The food was home made and just ok. Not much flavor in any of the sauces we had on any of our dishes. But overall good.
