This place was pretty good, but not stellar. My husband loved the brisket. We got some hushpuppies for an appetizer, and they were overdone and dried out. That led the theme for the rest of the night. I got the four piece chicken dinner, which was the smallest chicken dinner I’ve ever had. The sides were cold and dry as well.
Don’t consider this to be Memphis Barbecue. Won’t come back for the barbecue. Brisket was dry. Ribs had a taste like they were cooked in bullion. Never had BBQ sauce on my brisket before, unless I put it on. Maybe I’m too much of a Texan. However, their brunch outside the BBQ was great. Cheese grits. Potatoes. All good.
I liked the place. Pasquini’s before never had traction This place might. It’s a tough spot to be honest. The patio is bigger and better. The inside similar, pleasant. With a bar. The food. Cheese grits- add some hot sauce and they sing. The pulled pork- ahhh. Well done, simple, Ceasar salad. Nice one. Good place come here.
