Disappointing -poor communication. We planned to eat dinner tonight (Fri) at the Two Dog Diner. The fish and chips sounded just right. Online was a dinner menu but it stated only open for breakfast and lunch. When I called the restaurant, a gentleman’s recorded voice said that they are now open for dinners until 9 except for Sunday and Monday. We knew when we approached the dark restaurant that it was likely closed. Why have a phone message that is incorrect? Why list a dinner menu online when you only serve breakfast and lunch? We had a great dinner down the street at Urban Thai. Surely Two Dog Diner could get either their online website or their recorded message correct.

Great Burger. So far this is the best burger I’ve had in Longmont. I haven’t had their breakfasts but everyone raves about them.
We waited 1 hour for food to be told they lost our order. They offered to pay for our whole meal so we stayed on the condition that our order would be placed first in line. 20 minutes later they told us that our order was third in line then it would be cooked. Worst service anywhere. We’ll never go back. Too bad because it used to be a favorite place for us.
Very Disappointed. After reading the rave reviews I was anxious to try the restaurant for myself. I met a friend there yesterday, 6/23, and I had the ‘large’ vegetable salad. I have never eaten such a disappointing dish in my life. The ‘large’ salad was comprised of some lettuce, halved grape tomatoes, raw broccoli, raw carrot strips and raw green beans and hold your breath a little sprinkling – I would guess about one teaspoon – of balsamic vinaigrette. One would have thought that there would be some cheese and ham served with the salad. At $8.50 per salad I can buy a large box of organic salad at King Soopers and all the trimmings and have a better salad than at the Two ‘Dog Diner. The accompanying bread was horrid as well. McDonald’s would have been a better choice for lunch. The inside of the diner was smoky, not comfortable as far as the temperature goes, noisy and the tables are much too close to each other. No privacy or quietness whatsoever. We chose to eat outside, where we put up with the heat and traffic noise. My friend was not impressed either. Needless to say, we won’t be back.
