We love the cheese wontons, orange chicken and lo mein. The scoops are very large and we always have left overs to warm up later. Also egg drop soup is very good. Our family has done carry out for last three days, and have enjoyed the mailer coupons from Bamboo express.
We love this place. I find myself with a random craving for the hot pepper chicken at least twice a month, my daughter and son love the orange chicken and lo mein noodles and we never leave without several orders of the wontons. For the price it’s the cherry on top. We have tried several other Chinese resturants in town and they just don’t match up to bamboo express (even tho bamboo express is a buffet style and other places we have tried are sit down, by order.
Fast and Fresh. My husband and I regularly eat here – the owners are local, the food is all prepared fresh daily and it’s extremely economical! Best times to go are right at the noon hour and between 5-6; as the food is rotated very quickly during peak eating times. Love, love, love this place!!
Stay away.. We tried the Bamboo Express because we had a coupon from one of those mass mailers. It is setup like a typical buffet, however the staff scoops the food you want. You start off with your choice of fried rice or lo mein style noodles. Then you pick whatever other scoops you want, similar to picking your veggies at Schlubway. I ended up with the Orange Chicken and Beef with Broccoli and an Egg Roll. Both were mushy and not very warm. The Egg Roll was a standard frozen type that was uninteresting. My wife was not impressed with her choice of Black Pepper Chicken, it too was mushy and cold. The Fried Rice was probably some type of warm and serve mixture. Quite frankly the food was unimpressive, tasteless and not served at a proper temperature. (I wonder how a visit from the Health Department would rate). If I thought the Great Wall Chinese Buffet was nasty, then Bamboo Express must be serving Great Walls nightly leftoversor worsedumpster diving.AVOID because no matter how cheap it is, it’s still nasty.
Old dried up food Express?. I guess you get what you pay for. Heh, has anyone seen any locals working there? Nope, another take the money and run business. We need to support biz that puts money back into the community!
Friendly staff. Clean store. Delicious food. Cheap. What more could you want?
