Beware. As someone that travels for business almost every week, I rely on site reviews and generally that works out quite well. Very surprised by the positive reviews of Henry’s Pub. I much prefer to write positive reviews, but nothing good to say after my experience at Henry’s Pub for dinner. I went to Henry’s with my girlfriend and we ordered beef sliders and fish & chips and a side salad. The sliders were so overcooked that they were burnt and inedible. I told the waitress and she said that is the only way they can cook them because they are so small. What? How about just not cooking them so long? They also were underseasoned and tasteless. She said that because we already ate one of the three that she only could take off half price from the bill. I asked to see a menu to order something else. However, upon tasting the fish and chips, I decided not to get anything else. They also were overcooked and underseasoned – more like fish jerky. Fries were nothing to write home about either.I suspect that the food was precooked and reheated – it came out a few minutes after ordering and the sliders definitely seemed as though the were precooked. Anyway, when the bill came, they had taken off the full price of the sliders, but what a disappointing meal all around. Maybe we should have gotten one of the specials – oh, we didn’t know they had specials because our waitress didn’t tell us about them – only found out after we ordered when we overheard another server telling another table about them.Much better places to go in Loveland – trust me on this one.
Not just pub food – GREAT eats, excellent service, awesome atmosphere.
Classy Pub Fare. We had dinner here at about 7:30 p.m. on a Friday evening. I was surprised that the restaurant was only half full, but it was the day after Thanksgiving. I would be curious to see how busy they are on a non-holiday weekend. The decor brings to mind a sort of high class pub – it isn’t cozy nor is it a dive, but it is comfortable and pleasing to the eye. It seemed strange that they only have one bathroom for each sex – on a busy night the line to the ladies’ room must wrap around the building! The service was average – our waitress was friendly but not very attentive. I chose the blackened salmon linguini and my husband had broiled salmon with garlic mashed potatoes. Both dishes were tasty and fresh. The best part of the meal, however, was the lemon drop martini. This was by and large the best martini I’ve ever had (yes, even better than Jay’s in Fort Collins!) I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
Decent food, great service. I feel this place would succeed more if they pared down their menu and perfected those dishes. Now it seems their menu is hit or miss with delicious pub chips, fried calamari and salmon sliders but a dry veggie burger and average meatloaf. I enjoy the beer selection, they always have a lot of great local beers on tap and the prices are good, too. We had a waitress drop a glass beside our table, sending small glass pieces onto the table and the waitress just sighed loudly and didn’t check on any tables surrounding to make sure they didn’t have glass on the table. Thankfully only one person in our party wasn’t finished and when she told our waitress (a different girl) about it, she offered to make something else. The girl with us didn’t want anything else, so our waitress took half off the tab. Overall, we had a good experience but be selective with what you order!
The food was amazing and staff is really friendly. I recommend it to anyone.
Great place to eat & drink. Smoked salmon appetizer – delicious! The steak medallions were PERFECT – medium rare with a spicy Worcestershire sauce and at a great price. Fish and chips were great also. Will visit again next time I’m in the area.
One of my favorites. I love this place. An extensive food and drink menu. A bit disappointed they took duck out of the strawberry goat cheese salad though. However, there’s several other great options on the menu. Highly recommend giving it a try!
