Been there three times and all have been good. Not great. The service has been good. The atmosphere is pleasant and well decorated. BBQ is good, not the best but better than average.
Family Fave! We love going to Nordy’s! We were at a concert at the church across the road and stopped in for lunch ona goof – and we were so pleasantly surprised with the great bbq and sauces!! We have been several times and always end up ordering the giant family tray- my favorite is the grilled chicken, but the ribs, pulled pork and brisket are all very good as well. We have brought several friends as well and had amazing meals. The service is always friendly and the food comes out sooo fast! I also enjoy the corn muffins and the pasta slaw is so good! Waffle fries always come out fresh too. The only thing I’ve had there that wasn’t to my liking was the catfish (I know – why did I order fish at a BBQ place…that was my first mistake). The fish was good but the tartar sauce was kind of gross. Sorry Nordy’s – I really do love everything else you do!
If you are wanting a full meal of sugary sauce slathered and sugar added everything then you will probably like it. Oh and frozen fried okra, frozen fried sweet potato fries like you buy in a big plastic sack from the grocery store. Nasty!! Huge let down…. Really should have educated myself more before coming.
Good to dine in or take out. Awesome ribs and meat. The salads are great, too.
