Very nice surprise. Visited Miyaki 3x the last 2 weeks. My wife & I like the sushi. I like the Pork Katsu. Fried work panko @ served with the correct short grain rice cook perfectly. I despise long grain rice served with Japanese dishes which makes as much sense as broccoli ice cream. We enjoyed the crab sushi, crab tempura sushi (chunk of real crab tempura fried & rolled in the sushi), cucumber sushi. The yakitori appetizer needed more marinade time as the flavor was a bit too mild for me. I look forward to trying out more of the menu offerings.

Was mediocre for sushi…. Way over priced for what u rec’v…my husband & i spent $80 and was not impressed. the only thing they have going is maybe the atmosphere…the sushi was not authentic when we ate there, the rice wasn’t short n sticky, rolls were not rolled tight enough. nothing to brag about. we like MoMo’s downtown much better, they have a good variety of fresh & unique sushi, good teriyaki & bento boxes. they also give u a bowl of miso soup & salad w/whatever u order, prices r better too.

Wanted the closest Sushi place to I-25 for a quick sushi lunch, this place was it. My wife and I were in the mood for sushi on our way down to Albuquerque. We also wanted to find a place that would be closest to I-25, and this place was it. The place is somewhat hidden in a larger shopping center, but we found it. When we walked in, the decor was quaint and the setting looked clean. A small pet-peeve of mine when it comes to ordering sushi is reading the description, but getting a surprise when the food comes out. But this place actually had pictures of the sushi on the back of the laminated placard. It’s not like I’ve never seen that done before, but it was nice to have that option here. After we ordered and got our drinks, my wife and I observed the 2 sushi guys going in the back room and getting plastic bags of fish and bringing it to the counter. I prefer seeing them use fish in the refrigerated front case, because it at least gives the illusion that it’s fresher and will probably be thrown away at the end of the day. The sushi was well made and had decent flavor, but another of my pet peeves is when a sushi place uses crab salad in place of crab. A place won’t get negative points in my book if they list up front that they’re using crab salad (although I still don’t think it belongs in sushi), but when I see crab salad being used when I read crab, I get pissed. So in the end, this place did pretty much everything we needed it to do; be quick, be reasonably affordable and have good taste. But it’s isn’t the best.

Great Place. Went to this place on my birthday and sat at the bar. Loved it. After ordering 5 rolls, the chefs recommended one more, and that turned out to be the best. I’ve been to this place numerous times and I’ve never been disappointed. If you sit at the bar, the chefs will always take care of you with a smile. The only qualm I have is that if you tip the waitress, that doesn’t go to the sushi chef. Bring cash to put in their tip jars, because they deserve it!
