Sams is an Italian restaurant high up on Snowmass, and though it has the vibe of a big-city ristorante its got a view thats (almost) as spectacular as the Bolognese. It specializes in traditional antipasti with gourmet twists, inventive and hearty entrees, and house-made pastas and pizzas. Guests take their ski boots off (slippers are provided), and then take the chill off with items like traditional Tuscan Ribolita soup, Eggplant Parmigiano, and Grandma style pizza. The lamb burger will make you regret every on-mountain cafeteria line youve ever stood in. Theres an extensive and thoughtful wine list, as well as signature cocktails at the full and friendly bar.
