Yes… It is a dressed up hole in the wall. Outgoing staff, cold beer & BBQ served up in a plastic tray. The BBQ is delicious and comes with hearty side items. I recommend the brisket.
Horrible service and food. We were looking for a good regular hang out since we moved down here and this place was recommended by a friend so we stopped in. We sat at the bar as we usually do anywhere we go. Took the bartender about 20 minutes just to get us drinks. She seemed much more concerned about chatting up the regulars. When we did get our drinks, she gave us menus. Again, another 20 minutes before we got her attention to take our order. We ordered rib tips, which were not good at all. They tasted like they were smoked, then thrown in a walk in, then reheated on the grill. Whoever grilled them to heat them didn’t do a very good job as you as they were very burnt and tough. After we were done eating, another 20 minutes to get our check. Needless to say, we looked for another local hang out. They definitely need some tips on good customer service and good BBQ, because this place has neither.
Soooo good!!! I’m from Oklahoma and am usually disappointed with the BBQ in Colorado but The Old Man has a place in my heart. The service is well above par and they really just make you feel like you are all family having a big cook out! I recommend the naked wings, they are awesome! What can beat good smoked meat with a couple cold beers?
Great roadside BBQ!. An awesome roadside BBQ joint in the middle of suburbia, the Old Man brings a flavor of food and culture to the Broomfield area. You smell the smoking chips in the parking lot and when you walk in, the smell turns to BBQ smoke with the teases of the awesome tastes you are about to enjoy. Angela behind the bar keeps you happy with libations to enjoy a great addition to suburban Denver in the Old Man
Traveling for work and have never gotten hospitality like the AMAZING hospitality I got here. Cheap beer, great food, and wonderful staff. Seriously amazing people. I wish I were here longer.
