Wonderful!. First trip to G-Zen and my wife and I loved it. The food is varied, creatively prepared and we’ve never tasted better vegan dishes. Everything was excellent, The chef is an artist. Service was excellent and very accommodating and friendly.
First time and I give it an A+. I read about gzen in the NY TIMES food review and I can say that my whole party was impressed!!. The organic food, wine & saki drinks made for an sophisticated but relaxing time. Great conversation, low lighting and beautiful gardens outside. The SUBLIME VEGAN NACHOS were in fact sublime. The PURPLE HAZE saki was light & delicious with being too sweet. The Downward dog burrito was the best I have ever had and ended with the chocolate hazelnut cake. It was a great night and we cant wait to return
G zen is outrageously Delish. Second trip and felt so incredible after my meal. Had fresh thai cocounts and cocount red pepper bisque. The bread was so fresh and you could tell EVERYTHING was made from the freshest organic ingredients. We had the Raw Pasta and Chef Special for dessert. Honestly over all Gzen is the best dining experience I have had in a long time and feel it just keeps getting better with every visit. The variety, ambiance, presentation and FOOD was incredible. The space so exotic an beautiful. The SAKE martinis and desserts made my night. The sweet staff and beautiful beach location make GZEN my all time favorite restaurant in CT and possible the EAST COAST
You can’t go wrong here. If you are new to vegetarian food, or diehard vegan, this restaurant is the place to be. the food is inventive, delicious, and made with a lot of love. serving up a variety of styles of dishes, there truly is something for everyone. try the fresh pressed juices, and the desserts will knock your socks clear off your toes if you aren’t careful. my only complaint is that it is too far away from my house : )
