Overall the pizza is very good tasting and the service is excellent. There are however a few things to be aware of. First they do not carry lemons for water or tomatoes for toppings. These are two essential items that should be available. Second, if you like your pizza well done, be prepared to have to send it back to be cOoked further.
Don’t even bother with the Fairfield Frank Pepe. We live in Nassau County, NY but whenever we pass through Conn., we make it our business to stop by Frank Pepe’s in New Haven. Well, this past Sunday we were on our way back from Boston and because the one in Fairfield was more convenient for us, we went to that Frank Pepe instead. WHAT A MISTAKE!! You wouldn’t think that these 2 places are even remotely related to each other!The New Haven clam pizza, which makes my mouth water, was absolutely AWFUL here and the other pie (regular cheese and sauce) was terrible. The ordinary regular slices at our local pizza places are even better. What a total disappointment. If you want the good clam pizza – or any good Frank Pepe pizza – go to the original in New Haven. Don’t waste your time, money or calories on this place!
Not my favorite…. Too heavy for me. It’s really greasy and heavy. The crust is sometimes too burnt for me too.
Great pizza Slow and inattentive service
Totally over rated…I like pizza, but this is not the regular place for it. Brought out of town friends who were extremely disappointed with taste.
