Did not like this place. Walking in i thought okay this place seems to be legit, so we go and sit down and they hand us this paper menu which i think is so tacky for a steakhouse to have a floppy paper menu. Secondly our waitor had no respect he just looked down on us like we were not welcomed. Glancing at the menu there wasnt much of choice so for the first time we got up and told them nevermind. I wouldnt go back becuase the atmosphere wasnt comfortable, or laid back.
I found this steak house utterly disappointing. Half of my friend’s delmonico was cold and completely uncooked when he requested that it be cooked ‘medium.’ When he pointed this out to the waiter, he simply chuckled in response. My trout was burnt to a crisp. However, my husband’s prime rib was cooked perfectly and the raisin pumpernickel bread was simply delightful. Menu is presented on a single wooden bottle which makes reading the options difficult for one person and nearly impossible for four. I found the after dinner mints subpar but necessary to eliminate the taste of burnt fish from my mouth.

Whatever. This place is fine. It wasn’t an outstanding steak, and the decor is a little rundown, but the wait staff is friendly and accommodating and the food was decent. I’ll go back, but only if someone else suggests it.
Every time I eat here the service is great, food is always super good, and now they have a kids menu too! Great selection of wines, plus they make their own chocolate truffles. You can not go wrong eating at Chuck’s. I always eat here when I am in Danbury visiting. Enjoy!

I wrote 1 review of chuck’s but I felt I left out a couple little things, a little pricey for what you get(everything’s extra) and the service could use a smile and some personality.19 Jun, 2011Chuck’s old reliable. I enjoy the food at Chuck’s – always have I’ve been going here since I was a teenager. The menu never changes, although last time I ate there, the menu was a little dirty, didn’t love that. The food was good and the mud pie is always great.
Awwwh Chucks. Tried it once or twice, was ok, not worth the long waiting times. don’t love it or hate it.
