Great restaurant, superb food, fantastic atmosphere, amazing service. Will surely come again, as my experience was great. Portions were very large, and the prime rib is to die for.

I’m soooo upset with Barberies right now! I feel like I was just robbed! I just ordered a penne la vodka with shrimp & I feel like I took left overs home, a doggy bag! It had 3 pieces of shrimp & I could see the bottom of the container when I opened it! I paid $24.00 for something that didn’t feel me up & I actually had to go out again cuz I was still hungry! I love they’re food I know a lot of ppl that are regular customers like my friend Ray & I even know Jim! I have high expectations for this place bc I never had a bad experience but there’s nothing worse than feeling like you were just robbed

Over Cooked and Slow Delivery. I was here on business. Everyone local and ones who had been here before that traveled with us highly recommened the restaurant. I was told just about everything was great, specifically the prime rib. I contmeplated just ordering the filet because I pretty picky about prime rib. I guess I’m pretty picky about my filets as well, but at the price we paid it should have been great tasting to just about anyone. The food came out looking like it had been sitting for quite awhile. The order was mixed up with someone elses at the table. Noone’s food came out at the same time and there were only 7 of us. Literally there was about 5 minutes between every two plates. The lobster was overcooked. The prime rib was dry and bland. They didn’t even serve horse raddish. There was no au jus with the meat. Again, it was pretty dry. The lobster tail, though sizable was bland. The veggies were mushy and the baked potatoe was practically as small as a new potatoe. I had to constantly have to ask for my glass to be refilled wth iced tea. My meal was $56 plus tip which would total $67. Maybe this was a fluke, but I would think twice about dumping your cash into this place. I don’t know how long they have been around, but it appears they are out of thier league charging these prices and putting out food with low quality. l will say that those who ordered the chicken and pasta dishes enjoyed their food.

Jim Barbarie’s is the best steakhouse in Danbury!!!!!!! Chuck’s blows.

Pretty Good But… Well, what can I say about Jim Barbarie’s… It has been in the area for as long as I can remember. They serve typical steakhouse meals including Steak’s Pasta’s and Seafood. The food is pretty good but I don’t think its spectacular. The sad part is its one of the only surf and turf restaurants around so that makes this one the best… Good to go if you want a steak or seafood dish but as mentioned, its nothing special…
