Poor Service with Attitude-1 Star. We actually enjoy the food here and probably come here twice a month. Most of the wait staff is polite however, we sometimes sit in the area where the waitress with the dreadlocks works. She usually not the fastest one there, often stopping to chat with friends who are also there eating or do things besides wait on her tables. But last night was particularly bad. Twice we almost walked out. I wish we had. She was downright rude, ignoring us throughout the entire meal and we had to ask for things multiple times, never with an apology. Because of her, we will probably stop going to this restaurant. Did I say we went twice a month? Oh well, lots of places to eat in Danbury. Too bad this place doesn’t pay heed to all the bad reviews I’ve seen on this particular waitress because some of the other wait staff is lovely and this one woman gives the place a bad rep.
I loved the restaurant and the service was great… But I didn’t like the food that much. But I went there the other day and the food and service was great!
Good healthy food prepared to order. Menu rotates, but I’ve never eaten anything bad here. Hummous and baba ganoush are spectacular. Owners are nice. Staff is pleasant but sometimes service is slow. The decor is a bit dusty. I keep going back.
Interesting place. I like this restaurant for a few reasons. The food is good, with heaps of feta cheese on salads, and excellent humus. The menu offers selections unlikely to be found in other local restaurants. Ambiance is neat, with nostalgic items all over the place. It was like eating in someone’s livingroom. Service is slow and the atmosphere is very relaxed. If you’re not in a rush, its worth it.
Excellent salad, specials, and desserts. Quirky family place with great food and very accommodating to our tweens. Service wasn’t stellar but it was very friendly with good advice.
Good menu choices. They have a variety of menu choices that you don’t always see at other area restaurants, and my experience there has always been good. I love the hummus, and the variety of seafood dishes. The downside is that when the place is crowded it is hard to move around, the tables/chairs can be tightly jammed together. A plus is if you bring vegetarian friends, they always have filling options.
Always liked this place but recently just had a bad experience with a bad server. Not sure I want to go back now.
