It was myfirst time eating at this place and I had the worst experience ever. I ordered a Chicken Basket and the fries looked like they werefried in old oil and the chicken fingers were overly cooked and dried out. The lady taking care of me didn’t crack a smile not once. When I took a bite of the chicken it was so hard and dried that I had to throw out my entire lunch. I’m surprise the health department hasn’t closed down this place it’s so filthy.

Try it and you’ll come back for more. Place like Augie & Rays are rare nowadays.When this classic burger joint is jumpin’ you’ve got to belly up to the counter and hold your ground to get your order in. But it’s worth the effort for nearly anything on the menu. It’s all good but make sure you add a side of fries. Crispy and with good potato flavor they are the perfect accompaniment to whatever else is on your plate. You can get a great meal here without breaking the bank. Augie & Rays is an Connecticut institution; try it and you’ll come back for more.
