Love the ambience – such a classic sea town pub. Edited original review: Had lunch here today. Potato Leek Soup (special) was very good. So was the chicken breast and prosciutto sandwich. My son had the steak sandwich and liked it a lot. Great service.
A Saturday night in July and we were quickly seated by friendly staff. The food was delicious and pretty reasonably priced. Dessert was also quite good. No one left hungry. Good service. Good food. Beautiful little town. We will be back next time we are here.
Classic New England Experience. Neat atmosphere – Rhode Island Chowder and the crab bake sandwich were both very good. Service was quick despite it being the after-church Sunday rush.
Great little bar in front with engaging nautical themes to fit Essex’s history. Affordable & well done cooking make this a favorite. We’re sorry we took so long to find it, having only visited for the first time in 2008 after having lived in the area for 10 years. Too bad for us we waited so long…we’ll just have to make up for it!
