Always tasty! Yes, the menu is still confusing; however, with some guidance and the variety of sizes, you can have a great, tasty meal. I always stop in when on the Merritt and passing thru Fairfield.
Best chili since I lived in Texas. I lived in Texas for 3 years and tasted LOTS of chili, and I can happily say this rivals anything I’ve ever tasted! Unbelievable flavor, ultra-fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a really cool restaurant concept. So many varieties of chili and toppings, you could go back dozens of times and never eat the same meal twice. I don’t think there’s anything like it anywhere on the East Coast. The service was fast and friendly, with personal attention from the owner and an upbeat staff. Loved it, will definitely go back, and will make sure to tell my friends. This one’s a keeper!!

Best Cincinnati Chili in Connecticut!. This place is out of this world! They have 8 chilis and one of them is Cincinnati Chili. I have had the real Cincinnati Chili out in Ohio on numerous occasions and CHILBOMB has the authentic recipe. As I walked into this chili factory it became aparent to me that I was in for a treat of a life time. This has to be the place that any chili lover has to visit, it is a must! I ordered the traditional 5-way as I would normally would do out in Cincinnati and I have to tell you that their Cincinnati Chili is second to none. If you are a true lover of Cincinnati Chili then CHILIBOMB is the only place in Connecticut that has it. I now have my new dinner spot when I want some real Cincinnati Chili. Also did I forget to mention that you can put chili on anything you think of form Blue Cornmeal Waffles to Mac & Cheese for starters. If you are bored of the same old food then CHILIBOMB will amaze you with their menu. You have to see this menu to believe it. Don’t wait there is only so much chili to eat in a life time and CHILBOMB has it!
Great food, original idea. This brand has a lot of potential. The owners are down to earth, very friendly, and passionate about their idea. The chili is exceptional and there are options for every palate. Have it on a burger, in a bowl, over fries, and a variety of other ways. Will definitely be a regular.
5-Way. Spaghetti topped with Cincinnati Chili, Shredded Cheddar, Black Beans & Onions13 Sep, 2011Best Chili in Connecticut!. I live in the Norwalk area and came across a very unique restaurant while in Fairfield this weekend called the ChiliBomb Chili Factory. My husband and I were impressed from the moment we walked in the door. It is a small restaurant, probably seats about 20 people or so, but the way that this place was decorated was very original and quite colorful with lots of funny signs, etc. As we approached the front counter, there was a very large schematic type blueprint on the wall, which ended up being a menu, basically what you do is you build your ChiliBomb meal using the blueprint with combinations of everything you can think of, using the 4 different types of Chili they had. (The chili’s had different levels of hotness and I believe there is a vegetarian one too!). Anyway, once you pick your chili, then you pick what you would like it to go on, hamburger, hot dog, baked potato, spaghetti, cornmeal waffles, rice, etc. Then, you add your toppings of different types of cheeses, onions, jalapenos and whatever else. I thought it was quite a novel thing they have going there. My husband had a Chili Cheese Dog with monterey jack cheese, Cincinnati Chili and lots of onions. I had a Chili Cheese Burger with cheddar cheese and Texas Chili. Both very good, but my favorite item was the Chili Cheese Fries, I think I am addicted to these! lol. We ordered a large which comes in a pretty big container, so my husband and I split it. We sat inside by a large window that had a bar-style counter you could sit at and watch the passersby. If you are looking for good eats, comfort food and a fun atmosphere (very kid friendly, saw a family with 4 kids having a great time), then this is your place. Parking was pretty good, but seems most of parking is in back, this restaurant is located next door to Swanson’s Fish Market. They have take-out, no delivery service though, and it shows that it has handicapped access. Will definitely make the trip up north again, well worth it
Blew Me Away!. ChiliBomb seems to be equal parts delicious and outrageous! I live in Fairfield and decided to get something to eat (quick and easy) with my girlfriend. We passed by ChiliBomb and decided to check it out. Needless to say I left pleased, I highly recommend it! The food was a culinary creation, to say the least.
