This pizza is terrible. Everything at colony is bad. The pizza is so gross I almost puke after eating it. Although al lot of people like it, they are blinded by how bad it is.
I’d rather be served a Tombstone pizza than what they consider a thin crust pizza.
Shouldn’t even be called pizza. It’s basically a $10 Celeste Pizza.
Outstanding Pizza. Great pizza, fun place, great service
I dont really get it. Just to summerize what other people have noted here. This is a weird pizza. Its not bad per se, but different. The crust is very thin and very crispy. I assume that they cook the crust first, at least partially, to get it this way. But its not the classic New Haven/New York thin, but still doughy crust. It also doesnt have a a lot of cheese on it. There is enough. But if you think about a classic pizza with the cheese just oozing off, also not the case here. None of this is a complaint, just describing.I will complain that when you get a sausage or pepperoni, the toppings a little spartan. More like one piece per slice. Then there is the hot (hot pepper) oil option. Strange, and I kind of like it, but the pizza gets very greasy. Most people I know use a napkin to soak up some of the oil. But its still very messy. The place is big, somewhat racuous and load. Seems like they get a lot of students there. Lots of big tables, beer in pitchers, big bar area.I guess its a good place to go with lots of people, maybe watch a game. But if you want just get a good pizza, I would go a more traditional route.
Good pizza and probably the best deal in town for Fairfield. Colony brought back gluten free pizzas last year and they are very good. Great to see a restaurant cater to this as many shy away due to the extra cost of the gluten free product and handling issues. Have had all of the toppings and each are fresh. These pizzas are small enough for personal so each person gets to dress their own.
I grew up eating at the Colony in Stamford! Fairfield does not compare!
