The new owners are great people! They’ve brought back open mich night, and the pastries make it a nice place to visit for dessert.30 Jul, 2010Hopefully, the new owner will change the radio station. I used to stop on here every weekday, but now the constant Frank Sinatra keeps me away.
I don’t know of a better value for lunch. The reccession buster meal deal is $6.99. You get a huge deli sandwich with anything you like, a drink (soda or coffee i think), and a side of potato salad or cole slaw. They really do a nice job at lunch. I have never been there at any other time of day.
Better with New Owner. Now that Last Drop is under new ownership, things are starting to look up. For starters, they finally got rid of the depressed-looking, constantly yawning girls who used to work the counter — mind you, they used to dress so their breasts hung out, which didn’t look remotely professional. The new owner and his unbelievably sweet mother are happy, upbeat, smiley and grateful for the business they receive. They are trying their best to work out the kinks, but they’re already quicker with service than the previous owner and are an absolute pleasure to talk to. The new decor is much nicer feeling, and it seems like they really know what needs to be done to attract and keep customers. Best of luck to them!
Nasty Rude Coffee Shop. Nasty owner/manager. I had horrible service before; I stood around waiting for 30 minutes for a sandwich that never got made. Seems they forgot. THought I’d give it another go today, 2 years later. The owner/manager was a rude jerk, again. Service was terrible, lots of talking… no one but the poor girl at the register working. The man did not seem to want to take my order or answer any questions. He wanted me out quick. The veggie sandwiches were one iceberg leaf, one slice meally tomato, two thin slices of swiss, and two thin strings of roasted red pepper with a dab of mucousy looking mustard. Yes, I do think someone spit in the sandwiches. Did I mention I bought two? I would love for a food critic to stand by while a hispanic woman (I’m also a doctor mind you) places an order in this shop. Then I would love the critic to take a taste of what she gets. It has been YEARS since I last felt like I was being treated like crap due to my appearance. Everyone elses sandwiches looked VERY different from my own. The women standing around me while waiting for their food were treated nicely. I could tell a few felt bad for me when the manager talked to me as if I were a kid in a candy shop caught stealing. Final review words… their food and their service makes 7-eleven seem like a 4 Star restaurant.
