A perfect balance of flavors. It’s been about one decade since I last ate a meal at Liana’s Trattoria. Why have I held out so long??? Beet salad with goat cheese & arugula – the right amount of everything, including the dressing.Branzino and broccoli rabe (did you know broccoli rabe is related to turnips?) were perfectly seasoned and cooked with minimal salt, letting the natural flavors take precedence.Coconut cake – I asked for mine without chocolate sauce – was very sparing with the sweetness, delicate on the tongue. Liana put a small scoop of vanilla ice cream on my plate instead of chocolate (thank you for that kindness).I am a fool for staying away so long. Liana’s is just two minutes from my home.Lesson learned!

Outstanding. The food is fresh and delicious, the service is great and the place is cozy. Only negative is that it is very small. Definitely deserving of high praise and recognition. Look forward to coming back soon.

Very nice and light as air gnocchi. Went here on the recommendation of a friend. It’s a very small place and it can get a bit noisy but the food is worth it. It was packed when we arrived at 8:30 on a friday night. We shared 3 apps, zucchini rollatini(very light and fresh tasting), chicken livers(my dining companions loved them but they are not my style), and long hot peppers(they were eaten up but I did not ask how they were). I had the gnocchi with meat sauce, the gnocchi was light as air, I have never had them like this before.I was full by the time my meal arrived but these went down very easily. The meat sauce was very fresh and simple. The 3 of us shared the coconut cake. It was unusual, seemed closer to a macaroon than cake. My pieces were very moist but my dining companion on the other side of the table said his pieces closer to the edge were drier. I will be going back here again.

Limited menu with many non traditional dishes. All excellent. Decor is plain but best Italian around.
