Great atmosphere, off night?. I’ve always enjoyed Bricco in West Hartford with no substantial incidents, at least nothing I can remember. I’ll make this brief and list the things worth noting about our experience.1. Fig pie tasted like jam on toast, compare it to Cavey’s pie and you’ll see what I mean. They use sliced black mission figs, caramelized onion besides the gorgonzola and prosciutto that both use.2.The lasagna had a trace amount of ricotta.3. The scallops smelled a little fishy as the waitress auctioned it off to our table and reached past my friend who picked up the scent first before it got to me. The flavor was bland compared to the seared diver scallops with risotto the West Hartford location does so well. By the way, no fishy taste, I was relieved!4.Gnocchi had meat in it when it was made clear my other friend was a vegetarian and it had to be remade.5.Cappucino was luke warm, forgot the Sambuca.6.Guests were cleared before everyone was finished.7. Forgot to bring us bread.8. Great wine, great antipasto, great chocolate cake with espresso ice cream. In closing, maybe it was an off night, for $239.00 plus a 20% tip (customary but generous in this case) I would expect better.

Black Linguini with Calamari, Shrimp and Scungilli in Arrabiata Sauce. Fresh pasta, seafood and spicy tomato sauce. AND a normal sized portion, so the diner doesn’t overstuff themselves.
