We get take out from here quite a bit, through Dine In Connecticut. Their Butternut Squash Soup is really good. I also really like the Crispy Chicken Costoletta – the creamy lemon sauce is quite tasty. My son likes their ribs. I tried their Crab Rangoon – not my fav here, but for the most part, all of our selections have been very good.

Disappointment. After searching around for restaurants to have a nice dinner with Family in celebration for my sons 1st birthday. We came across Maggie McFly in Glastonbury which is rated to be a 4 STAR restaurant. Let’s start with saying I made reservation for 15-20 ppl and it was only listed as 15ppl. Then when ordering drinks the water tasted like STRAIGHT TAP water. My brother was skipped over and order for drink wasn’t taken. But that’s not where it gets crazy. Here comes the food: my nephew ordered fish and chips received fish that was NOT fully cooked, his mom ordered shrimp scampi where the shrimp wasn’t fully cooked…. Then remember my brother who was skipped over when ordering drinks yea him his WIFE never received her mac&cheese lobster ….. We were seated near the door which caused a cold draft. I’m not sure if they are use to catering to such a large party but if not they sure do need training. Not only that my mother in law made complaints to the manager Jeremy during the dinner, but when we were on the verge of leaving she asked the waiter to have JEREMY the manager come out and he refused so she told him to ask the manager the phone number to call and his response was LOOK ON THE WEBSITE. Not only was the manager rude as all hell but obviously the COOKS CANT COOK!!! Better service is needed not sure if any other location is like this but Glastonbury is one that does NOT receive 4 stars but 2!!

Sitting here waiting for our food. We showed up 1 hour ago. A little ridiculous.

Average at best. Large menu was the tip off. Lots of choice of average food. Chocolate lava cake was obviously a frozen cake zapped in the microwave with cheap ice cream and some peocessed areasol can cream. I can do that at home!Good wine selection for a place like this.

I have been to this location five times now. Four of the five times were excellent. The last time was not good at all. We are blaming it on the fact that were arrived later in the evening. The table next to us made a big deal out of an over cooked steak that we didn’t say anything. Kinda feel like we didn’t get our money’s worth that night but will move on.

WHAT A HUGE MENU!. It will take a while to sample everything. Huge menus tend to scare me, since they spread the kitchen thin, and having to keep a giant inventory on hand, often gives you less than fresh ingredients. Places like the Cheesecake factory have large menus, and the food tends to be lackluster. But so far we are doing ok here at Maggies.Drunken chicken tender appetizers are some of the best chicken chunk type stuff ever! Comes with two dipping sauces. Skip the lame red barbeque-ish sauce, do dunk in the honey mustard sauce! Tasty! Tried a ‘GARBAGE BURGER’ ( yes it is called a garbage burger) has sauteed shrooms and onions on there, very good!Deep fried mac and cheese sitting in a thick puddle of what appears to be a vodka sauce, also quite good. The turkey dinner was good for a ‘not quite thanksgiving but I could use some turkey’ fix. Should have ordered more gravy on the side! The only complaint of the night was for the Baked stuffed shrimp. Instead of the usual bread crumby, crabmeat, buttery style thats popular around these parts, it came with a watery…something went terribly wrong here…stuffing blend. Not a deal breaker. We can skip that next time and try somthing else because did I mention that the menu was friggin’ HUGE. I’ll be going back to peruse further 😉
