Loved it!. We visited Ibiza Tapas Restaurant and Wine Bar last week and were very happy with both the food and service. The goat cheese and sauteed spinach were out favorite choices! The owner Sonia made us feel very welcome and made sure we had a great meal. We’ll surely be back when visiting Ibiza next time!
Great place and amazin food. I had given up on Ibiza Hamden because of the nasty attitude displayed whom assumed was the manager. I was so happy when along with my wife and another couple we decided to give them another chance. What a CHANGE, the food was delicious as always, but there was a drastic change in the way the staff behaved, they seemed happy to attend to us and made our dinner so pleasurable. when asked, our young waitress politely responded that they were being treated with respect and that they now enjoy working there. What a concept!!If you had given up in Ibiza Hamden, give them another try, I think you will be happy you did; the same way we were. definitely try the boquerones and escalivada
Just ok…The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. In the end, everything was a little underwhelming. Food was average and extremely under seasoned. Had an ok experience but will not be returning for a 2nd visit.
Ibiza Tapas was such a great experience. I was helped by Laura behind and she was a huge to me. I strongly recommend this place to everyone. If your looking to try something new, there is stuff for everyone. A+ and I will be returning soon
In a hurry…… If you want an excellent meal but are in an EXTREME hurry this is the place to go. It was a shame because the food was very good. We were told we must order all our tapas at once. We wanted to order a few enjoy them then order a few more, the manager came over to our table and told us this is not how it is done here,. They need to turn over tables and must order ALL our tapas AT ONCE. At one point we had 4 tapas on our table needless to say at least one was cold by the time we got to it. Ordered a drink at the bar had 7 tapas, wine and dessert and had the check in under 45min. Happy Birthday to me!
Hit or Miss. First, they don’t take reservations, which I don’t like.As for the food, some of the tapas were out of this world, some were tasteless. We went during Restaurant Week, so the menu was limited. Will definately try again.
Nice surprise. This restaurant is in an odd location in Hamden. We stopped by for the prix fixe menu this past Friday. What a bargain! The decor was authentic and the tapas excellent. Our group of four tried almost everything on the menu, and nothing disappointed. The recommended wines matched up well, plus there is also an extensive list of interesting wine selections to try, all reasonably priced. The only negative is that reservations are not accepted. Plus there is no waiting room except the packed bar. Fortunately it was a nice evening so we stood on the grass out front, watching the Dixwell Ave traffic rush by. With a 40 minute wait, we considered going elsewhere but were glad that we stayed….
