Outstanding and authentic Portuguese Food. Great family owned ambience. We had the Grouper, Pork and Clams, and Primavera Pasta (incredible!). Prices are reasonable and food is amazing. We will definitely visit again during our next visit to the area.
A hidden gem. Tucked away along a road that seems more industrial and undeveloped, Primavera Pub holds a wealth of Portuguese foods and drinks, with friendly waitstaff and a range of customers, all of whom seem friendly and hungry. Large portions, with rice and potatoes grace many plates and try the vino verde (green wine) with your meal. Great food, great price. A friendly neighborhood place…THAT is the ambiance. NOT fancy, just good.
Delicious food in a homestyle atmosphere. Primavera Pub is a storefront on Newington Ave in Hartford, and so small that it’s easy to miss. I loved the food (had the Primavera Mix… shrimp, clams, pork with rice and potatoes) and the no-frills atmosphere — be aware it’s a small homey spot that serves wonderful food, and not fancy, romantic, or up-scale! Wonderfully friendly service, great food, and low-key atmosphere. If it’s crowded when you arrive, no worries… you can order takeout!
