Everything you would expect from a Max Restaurant Group dining experience .Great food and an excellent drink menu . Modern decor and a great staff make TK a favorite spot in the state for myself.

Love TK. It’s yuppie not real expensive casual dining, great drinks, interesting menu. Love the New York-ish atmosphere. Gets busy too on the weekends must get reservation especially if a concert is going on. Outdoor dining is great. Been going here for years. Love their wooden bowl salad and seafood pad Thai.

Good, but attention to detail lacking.. My recent visit to Trumbull Kitchen was an interesting one. Entertaining business guests after an event at the XL Center we headed over to TK. We were impressed by the atmosphere and the variety on the menu. Drinks and appetizers were ordered while we reviewed the dinner options. First strike was there were dirty plates mixed in with the clean ones given to the table for the appetizers. These where quickly replaced by our waitress. The appetizers arrived and were very good. So dirty plates aside TK was doing well. Diner was ordered and 4 out of 6 of us selected a Mahi Mahi special. The dinner dishes were good but the quality of the portion of fish on each plate was varied. So while some of us where thrilled with the dish others found their fish to be poor quality. Strike two. On to dessert. This is where TK struck out. The creme brulee was barely charred and tasteless. My chocolate fondue arrived with uncleaned strawberries, a few banana pieces and some pound cake. No toothpick or sticks to aid in dipping and an unheated sauce in a ramekin. Strike 3 – TK is out. This place has a very high reputation on my night it was no where near the rave reviews others have frequently give, I may give them a try aging, but it will be a while.

The place to eat Downtown. If you are staying in Hartford for business, you cannot do better than TK – the bar is hopping, the menu iimaginative, the service excellent.

Pretty good place. Overall, i enjoyed dining here. My family and I dined here and we all have pretty different tastes in food. I had the Volcano Roll, which i loved. My father and brother, however, didnt enjoy this place as much. They thought the portions were a little small, and they left hungry. The bread and aioli were really tasty, but the portions were too small for two hungry men. I would go back, but probably only with my girlfriends. Fairly young crowd.

Good food but don’t sit near the front door. I love this restaurant, always terrific food and great atmosphere. Watch out for the drafts on cold days near the door and along the bench/tables lining the left side. Service: generally quite good. The kitchen can be a little slow. Last time, we were in a hurry to get out to a 8PM performance and our server was very responsive in getting the food through the kitchen in a reasonable time.
